Article Processing Charge
Article Processing Charges (APC)
To support the editorial and publishing workflow while ensuring high-quality open-access dissemination, the Journal of Applied Manufacturing Technology (JAMT) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC). The APC covers essential publication services, including manuscript administration, peer review management, copyediting, typesetting, digital archiving, and online hosting.
1. APC Categories and Fees
JAMT offers two manuscript processing options: Regular Processing and Fast-Track Processing, with the following applicable fees:
A. Regular Processing
-
Indonesian Authors: IDR 200,000
-
International Authors: USD 20
Manuscripts are processed following the journal’s standard peer-review timeline.
The estimated time from initial submission to publication is 8–12 weeks, depending on the review outcome and revision cycle.
B. Fast-Track Processing
-
Indonesian Authors: IDR 500,000
-
International Authors: USD 50
Manuscripts submitted under the Fast-Track option receive priority handling throughout the editorial and review process.
The estimated time from submission to publication is 4–6 weeks, subject to reviewer availability and revision requirements.
The Fast-Track service accelerates editorial handling and review timelines without compromising the rigor, objectivity, or quality standards of the peer-review process.
2. Print Edition (Physical Copy)
In addition to online open-access publication, JAMT provides a print edition for authors and institutions requiring physical copies.
-
Indonesian Orders: IDR 500,000 per volume (excluding shipping costs)
-
International Orders: USD 50 per volume (excluding shipping costs)
Shipping fees vary depending on destination and will be calculated separately. Requests for printed copies should be directed to the editorial office.
3. APC Waivers and Discounts
To promote inclusive scholarly communication, JAMT may grant partial or full APC waivers to authors from low-income regions or those facing financial constraints. Waiver requests must be submitted prior to manuscript submission and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the editorial board.
4. Payment and Refund Policy
-
APC payment is required after manuscript acceptance and prior to final publication.
-
Payments are non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the peer-review process.
-
Official invoices and payment instructions will be provided following the editorial decision.
5. Transparency and Open Access Commitment
JAMT operates under a full open-access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide. The APC framework supports sustainable publishing operations while maintaining transparency, editorial independence, and international publication standards.
For further information regarding APCs, Fast-Track processing, waivers, or print edition requests, authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office.
